Ive just run week 9,run 1 and I feel pretty tired. Not surprising as I have never ever run for 30 mins before but was wondering how much difference running in the heat makes? I normally run at 10am. Think I should get out earlier to avoid the heat but im not an early morning person!

Running in the heat..
It is much easier to run in the cool of the morning.
If it gets really hot in midsummer I will be out at 5:30 in the morning.
I never understand people who chose to run in the heat of the day.
We're just masochists! ππ€£
The 26 miler I did on the hottest day of the year last year was actually really pleasant. After a while you get so hot you don't even notice anymore ππ€£
It just puts so much more strain on your body, Jo, which is one thing I am constantly trying to minimise to maximise performance.
You can keep the Marathon des Sables...........
If mornings aren't your thing try early evening after the worst is over or even a bit later in the twilight. Much cooler
The heat got to me this morning as well - it's exhausting and that was at 8.45. Must make us fitter!
Iβm not a morning person but remember the maximum temperature is around 4pm when it has had a chance to build up, not when the sun is at its peak around noon. I work out a shaded route to keep as cool as possible and find that this is quite enjoyable
I always run in the evening to avoid the heat π
