Running in the heat!?

I'm on week 8, but have only done 2 of my runs, so today is my last chance to keep on track, but I'm very unsure if it's wise to run when it's SO hot. Temperature at the mo is 27oC (and I've just sweated a bucket load weeding the garden), but looking ahead to tonight it's still going to be hot at 9pm. Do I just suck it up and go tonight taking some water with me, or is it better to wait until things cool down a bit?

You know your body but that's too hot for me. I ran at 8 this morning in the shade and that was ok but am now glad I did it then. If you do try it, slow and a shady route will be important.

It's never your last chance. Don't put pressure on yourself to fit all 3 runs into an exact 7 day week. Id wait till it cools later and see how you feel about it. If not it will wait for a cooler day . Good luck 😁

I would wait until it cools, or first thing tomorrow morning if you can! An extra day won't put you back. Hydrate well the day before you run.

I'm with Jacs-W, wait till it's cooler. You don't have to do all your runs in a calendar 'week'.

Yeah go later on about 9.00 pm ish. I've been out later than that and it's much more tolerable. It depends where you run I suppose, but i stick to local streets if I'm out that that late

or go out much earlier in the morning if you can.

Take a drink and wear a hat! I have a towelling wrist band which is handy for brow mopping. A big hankie is also a boon
