Week 5 day 2 - gutted

Week 5 day 1 completed and felt really good, but day 2 I got through the first 8mim and walk ok but on the second 8mins got as far as over 4 mins then had to stop. Felt my knees where going to buckle and started to get a pain in lower back.. really thought I could make it plus the heat didn’t help🥺

I’m not giving up, I’ll take a rest day and then what do. Run day 1 again or just try day 2 again any ideas?

I do have one idea... and that's don't be so hard on yourself!... it is scorching out there but all that aside ..... you're on week 5!!!! THAT is brilliant!.. I'm on week 6 and I"m having hard runs too.... give yourself a day or so off and get back on it!... Keep smiling!.. Week 5 is no easy task .. and takes hard work and commitment to get there.. This is a bump in the road!... that's all :-)

Hi Yolus, well done on your progress so far! You’ve got run W5R2, you’ve already done it in run W5R1 but we all have some good and some bad runs. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Have a rest, drink plenty of water on your rest day and go out again when not too hot (early morning?). Go at a slow, steady pace and you’ll get there. You can do it!!! 💪💪💪

Don’t despair. Maybe try R2 again at a cooler time of day/different route so that it doesn’t feel exactly the same. Good luck.

Thanks for all the positive comments, they really do help. I don’t feel as bad and I will definitely try again, determined not to give up just yet 😀😀
