It's taken me 11.5 weeks, all done in my back garden (or twice on driveway when raining). It's been great, getting me through the last couple of months, giving me purpose. I (as of me) feel better than I have for a while - I didn't know what was missing but I feel like me!
W9 was harder than my very successful and favourite W8. On checking W8 had 6 rest days before starting and 3 rest days between runs, but W9 only had 2 rest days before and between runs, which probably explains it, asking a bit too much of my older (64) body.
Lots of consolidation needed, but first goal is to take my running out into the big wide world. I was going to do W9 out locally, but doubts and excuses crept in - they've got to go! Next run Will be out and about!
Thanks to everyone who posts on here, for all of the support and knowledge that gets us through and helps to make this experience so enjoyable.

Thanks. I am proud. I'm definitely having a few days off to rest and avoid the hot weather. I'm awaiting delivery of a running journal as my first treat (ordered that the day before in anticipation), looking to order some clothing and then those all important running shoes.
How fantastic that you've managed this in a limited space - congratulations! Now the wonderful outside space beckons and you will get a new lease of life. Go get your badge - you've totally earned it! π₯³π₯ππππ πββοΈ
That is just incredible. Well done. All in your drive way ...that is an inspiration. Good luck for the next step. Keep posting ππΌββοΈπ£π
Thank you. My garden is not a bad size, large for a new build (wide but not very deep), but with the way it slopes and a dodgy left knee (dog injury from 18 months ago) I had to run clockwise, so I walked the other way. Out on the drive (runs across front of house to garage) so a good size, I found it better to run anti-clockwise which made a change. So it was easier than it sounds, although a bit monotonous.
I am very impressed with your motivation and transferring out into the outside world should be easier than if it was all on a treadmill. Good luck...we will look out for your posts. π
Thatβs fantastic- very well done I hope you are basking in that feeling - see you in consolidation! ππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌββοΈππ₯³ππ
I concentrate on the running and my music, not worry if I start singing or making hand/arm gestures, safe in my own little bubble so quite understand where you are coming from. I've enjoyed more than I thought I would but I'm gonna give running outside a go and see where it takes me.
Well done! what a super achievement... I applaud your efforts... hopefully i can continue and get there myself!... Forgive me but i do have to say...Good job i didnt rely on my garden to do this... it's a size of a handkerchief... I mean i do have little legs but it would still be a little too small.... Lucky that you have a garden suitable
Great stuff getting your graduation!.... the support on here is fab isn't it... Really is a tonic for days when you're having tough runs
