I did it. All 6 x 90 second runs. Although the last two were more of a stagger than a run. But I did it.
And in the rain - I was rather girly though and ran around the puddles rather than through them.
And I wore my new running gear. I know I looked like a sausage busting out of its skin (5'6" x 15 stone = not a good look in lycra) but I don't care.
I decided if people wanted to snigger at me - let them snigger.
I feel fantastic.
But will be down to earth with a bump tonight when I got to Fat Club (aka Weightwatchers) as although know I have lost some weight (had to do my belt up an extra hole this morning) my scales aren't showing any different from last week.
Never mind - Monday night is chocolate and wine night (after I get home from Fat Club of course).
Next run on Wednesday - I'm looking forward to it already. D'ya think I've got the bug!

Well done! That bug is very easily caught! I am a bit *ahem* 'Little & Large' too. I love my running tights etc. and have decided that if anyone does stare it's almost certainly because they're jealous that I've actually got off my ar*e to try and stay healthy and they haven't. Enjoy your (well deserved) wine & chocs!
Lol. My belly is going slowly. I call it my cover for a six pack
LOVE the sound of chocolate and wine night. I think the theory is that building more muscle makes your body better able to burn calories. So maybe the real weight loss comes later on. I'm on week 3 and only lost 3lb so far, but that still feels like 3lb I wouldn't otherwise have lost. Keep going! There are some great tips on HOW to run in week 3. Basically try to keep the run slow, speeding up comes much later. Lots of luck
Well done!! Knew you could do it. Losing weight is a bonus - it's more important to get fitter. Hopefully a gentle combination of both get yo the results you want.
Did my 2nd wk 2 run last night and it was a bit of a struggle to say the least. Last 2 runs pretty hopeless but did not extend the recovery time at all. So overall getting better. (Think next time I won't attempt to run after a chinese takeway - I blame my 15 year old! - 2 hours after was NOT long enough).
I think staggering is fine as long as you keep going. Running round puddles is fine, you just go a bit further than you ran through them. Great that you feel fantastic ! Keep going !
Debih it doesn't take long to get the bug. I'm Wk7 R2 tonight. I hit Wk5r3 and that's when I was totally bitten by the running bug. Love your attitude too so what if your 15 stone and they snigger. You are the one out doing something about it and not sitting on the couch. you certain get my vote so well done girl I'm proud of you. Keep it up and I'm looking fwd to congratulating you on your grad day. Also there only jealous because they can't take the time to do something Jase
way to go great attitude ... fingers crossed on the weight loss too TBh that is how i gauged myself, i can do my belt up 3 holes more
Being comfortable and supported is all that matters, who cares what you look like! Personally I think getting fitter is more important than anything else, so keep it up!
