So happy.at 64 years young Finished Couch to 5K.15 months ago i had a stroke, couldnt walk 10 yards to toilet without help. Thanks to everybody in NHS who have helped me.Thanks to amazing staff at Foyle Arena gym who have helped me. This App is amazing.9 weeks ago i never would have believed i could run for 10 minutes never mind 30.

That is so inspirational, hats off to you. I’m a 58 year old non-runner that’s in W4. I had cancer a couple of years ago that took away a kidney, then Sepsis, and I have no meeting abdominal muscles as a result of that. So I worried about if I could manage it as it gets harder along the journey. But I’m going to think of you each time I run, as you’re achievement is amazing. Well done.
030961,you have been through the mill,but you can do it.Take it nice and easy and get the breathing right. The biggest help to me was a GP referral to the local gym for stroke rehab.So i had 5 months in the gym before i started runnig.Trust the programme,it really builds your stamina.I wish you good luck and good health

I'm feeling a bit off today, tired and lethargic and a few niggly worried about close family going through a hard situation at the moment which I'm unable to do anything to help except just listen.
Anyway your post has given me the push I need to get off the couch and join my running group for their Sunday run.

Your post obviously has hit a nerve with over 100 replies!!! I can only echo what everyone else has said- you are an inspiration to all of us. Such an achievement. I was feeling very discouraged as I couldn’t finish my 2nd consolidation run last week- so discouraged that O didn’t even try for my 3rd run- 1st time I have missed a run through the program. Your post was just what I needed to kick my backside into gear- I will be out running and thinking of you tomorrow morning. Thank you and congrats!!!!
