Well I'm not going to lie - never thought I'd be running - not unless being chased by something, but so far so good.
Really proud of myself for continuously running for 8 minutes and actually excited for the next stage. An incredible sense of achievement each time complete each run which puts a smile on my face for my walk home. It's ace.
I'm 51 years of age and overweight but genuinely don't care when running. Admittedly am out really early, with my dog to avoid meeting up with anyone - but either way I'm genuinely enjoying the process.
Not sure how far I'm running, what do people use to measure this? I have a fairly basic fitbit and an iPhone so wondered whether there is a GPS type app or something that can use on the fitbit or iPhone to track my run.
Keep going everyone! Honestly can't believe have got this far.

Well done you! I used Google Fit for the first few runs, it measure pretty well, and now I use Strava. I've only just got it (and I'm still running to Jo Whiley week 9 run 3 on a loop at the moment) so I've not really explored its potential- I believe it will count up the minutes for me if I want it to. There is a fitbit app too, but I find it a bit awkward, so I just have the other two running with my fitbit doing my heart rate
Brilliant , well done - I’m 2 runs behind you, having just finished week 4. I’m also 51 & overweight & I’m amazing myself every time I complete the next run.
