After having to abort my attempt yesterday, due to the beginning of an asthma attack I was gutted! But after a restful day was up bright and early, before the pollen demons could get me! Took all the meds, hankie and inhaler tucked in my leggings, Vaseline smeared under my nose 🙀...apparently it blocks pollen from entering your nose...🙄...proof to all those beginner runners out there that you quickly lose all self-consciousness about what you look like running 😹! I always struggle with the first five minutes, often the full Toxic Ten, but especially after what happened yesterday 😭. However, just turned up my music louder and screaming at myself I pushed through, and as soon as I was past that point where I started to feel unwell yesterday, I was fine, and everything loosened up.
Yes, I had to sing aloud and wave my arms around a lot, and possibly have damaged my ear drums due to how loud my music was, but I ran 30 minutes without stopping, and my fastest times in two weeks!
Thank you to everyone who supported me yesterday when I had my asthma problems. I really could not have done any of this without the support of this forum. I feel fantastic now!
