I'm surprised, amazed, baffled. That here I am. Doing week 7 and okay with it. Week 2 was hard. Week 3 was so hard though by the end I was okay with it. Again with week 4. Every run such a struggle. Week 5 I was okay, the 20 minutes at the end was impossible. Week 6 was okay, the last run I did 23.5 minutes and it was really hard. Now I'm doing week 7. And it's been okay. Today I had to pause my run. I must have had too much to drink just before I should have walked before continuing. But it was just okay.
Today and the last run I did japanese running. It's cool because it makes me feel okay with how slowly I always run, and better yet, it makes it intentional....
I'm finding it really hard to get out and actually run. But when I do run, it's good. I've never been motivated before running but in the beginning found it easier. Hopefully it'll soon become habit...
Can you believe I'm actually okay with 25 minutes of running? Me, who was out of breath after 10 minutes of walking? Who every previous week until week 6, the runs were just about completed and felt impossible each and every time?
I'm baffled. Surprised. Amazed. And kinda proud of myself.
Thank you all for your tips along the way. Like hydration. Stretching afterwards. The detailed guide posts. Running slowly. Breathing.

I just done this run tonight also! Can't believe we've made it this far. So close to the end now. Crazy 🤣
My run went not bad tonight. Feel like I'm finally finding a decent pace to stick to. I've been bad for either starting to fast and struggling at the end or starting to slow and then really pushing myself at the end. Tonight's run when I tracked it was pretty evenly paced the whole time and I felt so much better for it.
Look at me.. actually sound like I know what I'm talking about 🙄🤣🤣
But well done!! Be proud. And onto the next run, same as me 🥳
Are you stretching afterwards? And doing the nhs knee exercises for runners?
I stopped by week 3 because I hurt my knee. When it stopped hurting started again. Never run when it hurts more than it should because you don't want to injure yourself.
Well done 👍👍 I'm currently on week 4 and run 3 on week 5 seems an impossible task... I currently struggle with the 5 mins so how on earth in 4 runs am I meant to achieve a 20 minute run??!?! Saw ur post and I thought at least there is someone else who struggled... Everyone I've seen just seems to do the 9 weeks straight off.... I can't see me completing by Xmas never mind mid July 🙄
I've started this week Japanese running and either it's that which helps or maybe stamina has just changed. I don't really know... definitely keep at it!!! I found week 4 harder than week 7 so far. I just have been okay with the runs. Believe it or not. The end of week 5 was hard, but everyone manages it. I literally dragged every step onwards, it was definitely no form of running..... but here it's getting there. Getting there.
Well done! It’s such an incredible feeling isn’t it?!
I ‘don’t do’ sport or exercise, and never thought I’d be able to run for 30 seconds when starting this plan, but I also completed W7R2 yesterday. I just can’t believe (and neither can my family).
It’s hard, but I’m loving the sense of the achievement. Good luck with the rest of your runs 💪🏻💪🏻
I love meeting others the same place as me.... it's helping me feel motivated....
That sounds like me. My family have to park right next to the shop because the few extra steps are too far... now maybe I'll want to visit beaches that require walking...!
