Well week 1 completed and it did get easier each time but I do not feel ready in any way to run longer than 60seconds at a time. Will I survive week 2?

When I first started, I done 5 runs in total for W1 before I moved onto W2, however if I was looking back on it I definitely would have tried W2 first to see if I could have coped, and that's what I would recommend. Try your best for the first run of w2, if you have to stop or go back to brisk walking, repeat a run in W1 until you are ready, but if you manage it then continue on in W2!

Good luck! :)

You’ll be fine. If you competed week 1, you’re ready for week 2.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Make sure you are jogging at the easy conversational pace described in the guide.

Enjoy your journey.

Of course you will! Trust in the programme and you will be fine. Well done for completing week one - that's a tough one getting started!

Yes you will! 😀 Every run prepares you for the next. Better to give it a go first and find out, rather than listening to your inner gremlins! If you need to repeat any runs that’s fine too. Just listen to your body and enjoy yourself. 😊👍

You will survive w2! I’ve just finished w2 r3 and strangely found it easier than w1. You will be fine :)
