Hi everyone

So after starting c25k about 3 or 4 weeks ago, I only got as far as w1r2 and was really poorly so had to stop but I'm so chuffed that I have finally completed week 1 yay :-)

I am really enjoying it and looking forward to starting week 2. My question is, am I right in thinking you have two rest days, so run, rest, run, rest, run, rest, rest?

Thanks muchly πŸ˜„

Well done completing Week 1, that's the most important step. The only important thing about rest days is that you have at least one between runs, how you schedule your runs is up to you. If you can fit in running W2R1 on day 7 (and you feel OK to do so) then go for it, you don't have to wait until the next week starts. Equally, you may take more than a week to complete the three runs - the C25K "weeks" are just a way of grouping the steps you need to take.

Well done! The first week is tough. If it is of any help I follow the same pattern as you, run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and rest Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. It works for me, especially because on Monday you are fresh to take on a new challenge. Sometimes I juggle days around if I need to, but I never leave more than 2 days of rest between my runs.

Its best to organise your runs around what's most convenient for you, that way you're less likely to find excuses not to go. I usually do Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and have a 2 day rest on Thursdays and Fridays. Glad you're enjoying it so far.

Congratulations :) W1 is in many ways the hardest :) One or two rest days work - just don't run TWO consecutive days. That is really really important ;)

Thanks everyone, I did Saturday, monday and Wednesday and had a couple of days off which was nice. Just done w2r1 which was good πŸ˜„
