Managed my second run today and found it harder than the first - is that usual? It was quite windy so was running into the wind for half the time. Legs are definitely sorer today.

I remember struggling slightly more on number two as it was getting used to building up that stamina and the muscles weren’t used to obviously running, so not sure if that’s usual or normal but hopefully it makes you feel like you aren’t alone 😂

I would say so, from my experience so far week 1 was most painful as body takes time to adjust week 2 was easier than week 1 and week 3 is seeming easier that week 2 so keep going and hopefully it will seem easier for you next week 😀

Well done.

Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
