Frustrating stumble at the last hurdle

Hi all, feeling a little sorry for myself. Completed w9 r1 last week, came home and while getting ready for bed just twisted an ankle slightly. Woke up the next day and it was a little stiff but I walked it off (I am a postie), same again for a couple of days so I gave myself a couple of extra rest days before doing w9 r2 on sunday. Had a great run, felt fantastic, unfortunately the ankle ballooned after and became very stiff and sore. I tried to be nice to it at home and carry on working but it hasn't improved so now I am at home with my foot up wondering if I will ever graduate, so very, very frustrating!!!!!

Tough!

It is strange how ankles react. Last time I turned my ankle slightly, I was fine walking the following day and it was only when I tried to run on it two days later that it became clear that all was not well.

In my case my physio mate advised that cycling would be good, by keeping the joint mobile and improving blood flow, which aids repair, while keeping the weight bearing loads off. They can take a while to recover, because of the relatively poor blood supply, and in my case it was nearly a month before I got back to running.

You will be back.

Take care.

Thank you for the support, think it would be easier to take if I didn't have just that 1 run left to graduation but my timing is impeccable as always

Oh I really feel for you 😥 you must be absolutely gutted. Hope you heal very soon!!
