My legs started to feel very heavy near the the end of the 2nd 10 minutes, the heat didn't help. However I finished it and I'm willing to go again in 2 days time. I'm going to run either early morning or late evening as sun during day is killing me!
Week 6 run 2 done! ππ: My legs started to feel... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 run 2 done! ππ

Well done.
Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.
Even more important in the heat

Well done, you made it! ππ Iβm on week 6 next, so good to hear how itβs going. Itβs all very exciting! π πββοΈ

Apart from the heat that was a good run for you today, the last run with interval walks and runs, as the weather is getting even hotter I would advise you to run, run 3 of week 6 as early in the morning as you can, good luck for that run, remember to drink plenty of water, especially now with the warmer weather.
Drinking extra water is a must. Couldn't do early run today due to work but should be fine for early run on Saturday. Thanks πββοΈπ
On Saturday morning I will be running my 11th virtual 5K parkrun, I usually run those virtual runs at 9.30, that is the times that official parkruns are ran in Scotland, however, with more warm weather forecast I will be running it much earlier than that, perhaps 7.30 or even 6.30am after I have a very early light breakfast around 5.15am, good luck for your what will be your first run as a official runner, what I mean is once any runner has completed run 3 of week 6 they are told by their coach at the end that "you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER", at least Laura says that. π ππΎ
Well done youπβ...I think early morning is best...I try and get out about 6/7..then it's over and done with and I feel good for the rest of the day π

Well done!
I'm hating the heat. Still plodding round but certainly no personal bests for me for a while, I don't think.

Well done, you are doing amazingly well. Defo early morning is easier. Iβm a bit behind you now so W5 r2 on Saturday, hopefully following in your footsteps and smashing it!
Well done π I get out for 7am and enjoy that early morning run befire it warms up π
