I can't quite believe it, but I made it!
3rd attempt at C25k in 18 months and it took lock down to finally help get me over the finish line! Having the time to actually do the regular runs has been so beneficial - previously I kept leaving big gaps between each run, which made it much harder to feel the improvement week to week. I'm still really slow and haven't been keeping a record of my distance, but think I'm way off 5km. Hoping to install the Strava App next week to help measure my distances, as everything I have read on here say's its good.
I think I'm going to continue to repeat week 9 for a while to try and build up my distances to reach the elusive 5km. I also feel like I cheated slightly this week, as I avoided the steep hill at the end of my runs that nearly killed me during week 8, so I plan to add that back in. Beyond that I'm not really sure what's next. I'm going to really miss the structure of the programme, and fear I will find it hard to keep up the regular runs. So, if there's any good advice on new structures I can implement or the best way to continue please feel free to share!
This forum has also made a real difference on my third time round, by helping to motivate me and offering sensible advice to keep me going. Thanks to everyone and good luck to all those on their C25K journey. If I can make it, then anyone can! And by the end, I actually quite enjoyed it!
