Whoop whoop Week 9 run 3 done

Well I've done it, I was waiting to graduate so I could use my first park run as my final week 9 run. I've loved this program, always doubting that I was ready and able to undertake the next week but going for it anyway πŸ™„ At week 8 it all started to come together and now I feel like a runner, a very slow runner but a runner non the less πŸ˜‡

I haven't posted on here before but have avidly read lots of the posts and followed the advice and encouragement given. It's spurred me on so thank you to all who contribute, for those of us sitting on the side lines it really helps.

I started this in August having done no running for years but I wanted to get fit and lose weight and I'm getting there. My next target is to get to 10k having signed up for an extreme 10k mud run next year in aid of a local charity. So it's onwards and upwards but looking forward to seeing that shiny graduate badge next to my name ! πŸ˜ƒ

Hi Jan-now-runs and Aldlib, what I hadn't realised was my first park run was on International Parkrun day. It was a lovely atmosphere, didn't like getting lapped mind you, no carry over the line but a runner I met in the car park finished and then ran on to find me and ran with me to the finish. What a lovely group of people runners are, I'm so glad I got off that couch on day one and puffed my way through those first 8 mins, I'm loving it, even in the rain!
