Whoope, whoop whoop and yippee!! I've done it week 9 Run 3!!!!

Technical issues sorted (iPod now functioning) I had Laura with me for the last run of C25K week 9 run 3 and it was very comforting I hadnt realised how much I'd missed her. Unfortunately I had to do it on the treadmill again because as per usual it was pouring with rain, where I run is a bit treacherous when wet, plus my old bones don't like the damp! Following the advice I've read on the forum I will do a few more week9 runs then take a look at c25k+ podcasts. I'm thinking of joining a local park as using a combination of walk and short bursts of running I will be OK.

, any advice on this would be much appreciated. I think I can now apply for my graduation badge. Congratulations to all those who graduate this week and well done keep on going to those who have started on this fantastic program. Thank you to the NHS C25K team, to the administrators and moderators of the forum, to all those who post and to my best running buddy Laura, you are all brilliant.

Thank you my badge does look good doesn't it? Only the ache I have now is faceache from this wide smile I've had on my face all day who would have thought running could bring so much joy?

Not Too Old To Run - indeed!

Well done you.

My advice would be figure out what motivates you and do that. Some of us are motivated by tech, others stats, and some very strange and unusual people are motivated by, well, just enjoying the run :-).

Consolidating by repeating week 9 for a few weeks/months is a great idea as it firmly establishes you as a runner to both you and your gremlins.

Well done graduate, and remember - slow and steady wins the race!

Thank you. Just like poppypug's posts yours always make me smile but your advice is always sound. I'm afraid I fall into the 'the strange and unusual people who are motivated by just being able to run' sad but true but I don't care.

Congratulations, you deserve your badge and should feel immensely proud of yourself!

I would say now try any form of running that appeals to you, the important thing is to keep going and don't push yourself too hard too quickly. Good luck!

Thank you. If the c25k+ are as good as what I have just completed I know I will enjoy them. I tend to only look at one podcast at a time that way I can't get stressed out thinking about what's coming next. I take it stepping is the first one I use so, just a few questions does it matter what order I do the next two in?do you interchange them during a week of running ?or do repeat each one a scertain number of times before moving on to the next one? Sorry for all the questions but I want to get it right.
