Well I’ve done it! But wt*, Spotify! I was going to make sure my Guardians of the Galaxy would help me keep going on my first ever (!!!) 20 min run, but it started me off on orchestral music!
No don’t get me wrong, I love orchestral music but on my first ever (!!!) 20 min run? By min 10 Jo Wiley was telling me how proud I can be and Spotify was telling how much I need nexium on order to eat that next set of nachos! And then ... another 5 min orchestral piece!!!
Finally, after 3 lots of orchestral music and 5 adverts about indigestion on min 17 I finally got a song with a beat....
But by then it was too late. I know I could handle 20 minutes running now, through thick and thin, even through the most unrythmic, un-beatingly orchestral un-running-music.
Other than those wt* moments directed at Spotify, run was great. Calves feel good, no sign of back pain, knees and ankles - I can feel they worked out but ok.
I’ve managed to integrate regular runs into my life! Upwards and onwards!!!
