I did wonder if Laura was having a laugh when I listened ahead to the next podcast. I feel very nervous as I think this is like a mini graduation in my mind. If I can go from 8 mins to running for 20 then as far as I am concerned I CAN do it and I will have proved to myself that I have the capacity to be a runner. Even whilst at school I was never able to run due to being overweight so this will be the longest I have ever run in my life. My intention is keep telling myself I can do it and then try for an out of the body experience lol....you know like the one where I get to float around and watch whilst my body effortlessly glides through the run. Failing that I'll just relax, work hard and be determined like everyone else
Wishing you all well - happy running!

When you complete this run Jems you will indeed feel like a "real" runner and know that 30 mins is now possible - its an awesome feeling!! just take it slow and steady and you will nail it. It seems like a big jump but the programme has prepared you for it so you are ready to do it, you just need to convince your head that you can too!
You can do it, it's just (a lot) more of the same. Take it steady and believe ( and breath!). But if you do manage the out of body method can you let us in on it please
Hi Jems! It feels like a big jump, and it is, but you are ready for it. I know, I've been there! You will feel so good after those 20 minutes! Go go go
Thanks so much for all the encouragement it helps so much! I am even beginning to feel a little excited but perhaps that's because I'm sat on the sofa and all the treadmills have gone to bed
You will do wonderfully with this run!! As the others have said, settle into a nice, steady pace and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!! Good luck and let us know how it goes!!
