I’m doing my first Couch to 5k run in the morning 👍🏻

First Run
I’m doing my last! W9R3. Good luck. It is an amazing app. I have gone from being a lazy lump who couldn’t run the length of myself to now running for 30 minutes. Stick at it. You will feel so proud of yourself with every run that you tick off ✅. I hope it goes well tomorrow.
Wow well done and thank you, I’m excited and dreading it at the same time but I’m determined.. 47 and 4 stone overweight needs action.
Plenty of good music will help. I’m 48 and although not ( very) overweight, had never run before. Follow the app, I use Michael Johnston and don’t look at a watch! I do it in the morning as I’m off work at the moment and I also find that helps. Once it’s done I feel great for the rest of the day! Let us know how you get on.
Good luck Debbie, I hope you enjoy doing the program. I’m on w7r2 tomorrow morning. Once you get going, it is addictive! Having music definitely helps.
Good luck Debbie. I was 58 when I started and 2 years later, I am still running. It's especially nice at present to get out of the house for my daily fix and seeing other runners is great. Stick with the programme - it really is amazing. Never thought I could be a runner.
Good luck!
That’s great, and the weather is looking good. Enjoy! Let us know how you find it.
Just putting my trainers on I’m leaving in a few minutes 💪🏻
Excellent. Good for you.
I still remember that first run. And the look on my wife's face as I came crashing through the door at the end. Hardest run of the program.
But I graduate just before Christmas.
Let us know how you get on. There are lots of people on here, at all stages of the program that will cheer you on when you're doing well and pick you up and dust you off when you stumble.
So good luck, and let us know how you get on

Welcome to the forum and well done on decision.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
I did I loved it, I thought I’d cheat but I didn’t.. currently in a collapsed state of euphoria
Best thing I have done in ages, did mine two years ago and love running I actually get depressed if for some reason I can't get out there. So I hope you are willing to be addicted to running for the rest of your life. I would recommend using Strava to record your runs and you can see your progress and fitness along the way, there are other apps but with Strava you can follow people in your area and of a similar ability. It's free up to a point, I pay for the summit features but then I'm obsessed with the stats a bit, but if all you want is distance, pace and time with great maps it's as good as any. Good luck and welcome to the obsession.
Well done, I have done the first two runs so far and they definitely leave you on a high for the rest of the day.
Yes I feel great, got work at 2pm and will be there til tomorrow afternoon so great start to a long ass shift
