Well done thatโ€™s the hardest run out of the way

You are made for this.

The first few running days are difficult. That's only because you're not used to it. I remember my first few runs being hell. But then my body started to adapt.

There is a hypothesis that we are born to run: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endur...

Congratulations on completing run 1 of week 1 and welcome to the forum and C25K, some say that run is the hardest run of the whole program, remember when you are doing the course to take all the runs slowly, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1 ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿ‘

Well done for getting started! The first is always the hardest!

Please do read the guide to the programme, chances are you were pushing a bit harder than you need to, slow and steady is the key!

You absolutely are made for this!!! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

I returned from my first run and thought I was going to be sick! I found it incredibly difficult and thought thereโ€™s no way I can do this, itโ€™s just not for me, Iโ€™m clearly not fit enough!

But Iโ€™ve just got in from a 45 min run and am so so glad I stuck at it when it felt hard! Thereโ€™s no feeling like proving those thoughts that drag you down wrong ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Keep at it and just make sure you run at a slow and steady pace! (Iโ€™m still really slow!)

Good luck ๐Ÿ˜

Well done! In some ways the hardest run of all - so many congratulations for getting out there and doing it. Sarah is a wonderful companion, I stuck with her until about week 7 then I switched to Michael just for a change.

I remember starting W1R1 in February and thinking 'What am I doing, this really isn't me, I'll never make it to the end of the programme', and here I am six months later comfortably running 40+ minutes and 5ks. I'm staggered at the transformation this programme can have. Enjoy your running, clock up every run as a massive achievement, be proud of yourself for taking this huge step. Best of luck xx

Go for it, follow and trust the plan, don't overthink and you'll soon find yourself running a 5k - the hardest run is the first run and you've done that๐Ÿ˜

Hardest part is getting off the sofa and not only have you done that, youโ€™ve completed your first run, congratulations!

Welcome to our friendly running bunch ๐Ÿ˜€

We all started, where you are now and most of us thought, that we are not made for this ๐Ÿ˜

You took the first step and made it through first run!

That is awesome job!

Please keep in touch, let us know how you are doing x
