Week 6 run 3 how far?

Hi all, I completed week 6 run 3 today and I am feeling pretty pleased with myself! In the 25 minutes I covered 3.07 km, is that a reasonable enough time for a 48 year old at this stage of the programme?

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, yes, your time is fine, C25K is not all about speed, it's to get you to run for 30 minutes non stop irrespective of your speed.

It is a brilliant time for the 48 year old runner that is you.

You couldn't do that a few weeks ago, I bet.

Well done.

That's a great run. It's not about the speed and it certainly isn't a race! It's about building stamina and being able to run for the duration. Well done!

I’d say that’s pretty good. As we know, it’s not about speed, but endurance. I’m at more or less the same stage as you are (W7R1) and my distance yesterday was 3.2km in 25mins. I’m hoping to gradually improve on that, but only gradually.

That is about right, well done. The key is to the run the time, speed can come later if you want it. Most off us (I am 52) are way off 5k when we first run 30 minutes, I was about 3.8km.
