After doing some consolidation runs, when I set off today I felt like I could keep going and aim for 5k and I did it!!! (I live in the highlands and it’s considerably cooler up here today than what I’ve seen people have got down south!!!)
I’m really chuffed and I wanted to post about it because I was one of those people who was really worried about my pace - how the **** am I ever going to run for 5k in 30 minutes etc 😂
But of course now I know it’s not about that and this program, and this forum, has helped me so much get to a place I never thought I’d be and that’s the main thing. My little bit of positive to take from this weird time we are all going through!

Awesome! Congratulations on your achievement! I can not wait until I can run a complete 5K as well. I keep focusing on the 5K in 30 minutes, but I do not think I will reach this goal for some time, for now as long as I can do the 5K, no matter how long it takes I will be extremely happy!
Well done! I'm up in the Highlands too. I was worried about my pace too as I'm practically running on the spot, but if you can keep that going it doesn't matter.
Exactly! My pace has stayed pretty much the same to be honest, but the improvement on my stamina has been great. Probably one of the first times I was glad of our “cooler” climate!
