OMG! I did it!! I Graduated!!

Never thought this programme would work for me - running in the past always gave me a stitch and I couldn't get the breathing right, but thanks to C25K and the support of all of you on this forum I've done it!! So a big thank you! I'm a 54 year old female who (although active) had put a few pounds on over the last couple of years - I'm pleased to say I have lost over a stone and feel fantastic and back into those jeans that were too tight! Treated myself to a fancy pair of trainers in week 4 so I knew I would have to keep going to get my money's worth! Unfortunately out of 3 pairs I tried on at the shop the worst colour ones fitted the best - my sister says I look like I have salmon fillets strapped to my feet!!

Music tip - after getting bored of my regular music when the runs got longer I started downloading Steve Wright's Serious Jockin' from BBC sounds - 45 min how and all the music very upbeat with a little conversation in between - perfect! Have to add that I'm an extremely slow runner (plodder might be a more appropriate word!¬) and haven't yet reached that moment where I feel I could run forever but I'm going to persevere. I'm looking forward to trying a local organised 5k run when this crisis is over. Stay safe everyone and keep running - you can do it - I did!!
