Although I am fit for my age having just turned 60 I was looking to increase my exercise by running outdoors. Growing up I could run at speed but distance was impossible due to having no stamina. I was introduced to Couch to 5k but found it tough at the beginning however today, halfway through week 8, I smashed the 5k goal (I ran 5.35k actually) and it’s 1 week early. I’m elated at the fact I have achieved this as I would not have believed it possible. It can be done! Keep at it.

That's fantastic! Slow running is great for stamina. I have found that since graduating my stamina has grown as I am doing longer, slower runs. I save the sprints for very short distances only or intervals! Keep up the good work – your heart and lungs will thank you for it!
