0n week 5 , 1st run was supposed to be Monday , think I’m having a weeks break, knee quite sore and have a chesty cold. Gutted but had a week off after week 3 due to sore Achilles, I am not going to fail.
I have become a shave to Strava, trying to beat my day before time, I think I need to slow down
. Bought new trainers, and am constantly looking for sale items in Running ! 🤪 I love it.

Firstly get better your runs will be here waiting for you. Strava is great that it gives you information about your run but you're right keep your running slow .
Nice shoes hope you have very many happy runs in them . Good luck 😊
Think you've worked out the problem yourself. It will take less time in the long run to break records if you stop hurting yourself and having to take time. Poor you take care
And you do right to rest, and then maybe slow down. I did my glutes in W2 and I think it was through getting to confident and pushing myself to much. Now I’m a snail 🐌 and will hopefully be able to reach where you are, and then get to the end!
Hi Beerslurpa ...those look like a great pair of shoes!! Sounds like a week off is the sensible thing to do if you're having knee problems, you really don't want to end up on the IC by doing any more damage and I love your enthusiasm but yes, you need to slow down otherwise you'll burn out!! I did exactly the same thing. My kids don't live near me, but I downloaded Strava and they follow me. In an effort to impress, I kept trying to record faster and faster times. I stopped when I started researching running without injuries. Now my goal is still to be running 5k in ten year's time (I'll be 70 by then).
