O I wish that time was for running, not the short 5K bike ride I did this morning on the EXACT course I ran my 6th virtual 5K parkrun yesterday in a time of 32.37, yes it is a dream to RUN it in 22 minutes.

5K cycle ride
Brilliant.
Thanks Pippa, it would have been more brilliant if I had ran that time on Saturday. π
You're welcome. I am nowhere near that. My pb at Park Run is 47:23. Don't do Park Run now though as don't really enjoy it.
Parkrun is to be enjoyed, if you do not enjoy it, don't go, anyway, goodness knows when the next official Parkrun will be, might be next year, that is why a lot of people on this forum are doing those 5K virtual parkruns at the same time as the official ones are held, but not where they take place, just locally, also, they are becoming more organised as the weeks go by.
It looks like it would be very picturesque...we can all dream. One day...one day (over the rainbow π)π
It sounds like a lovely cycle ride. The important thing is that we enjoy whatever exercise we can do. I didn't know that you cycle too.π
Yep, that would be a cracking time for a parkrun Al!
Thats a good time again for your parkrun Alan, loving the idea of all the virtual parkruns, wish ours started at 9.30 instead of 8am as its going to be hard getting up in the dark once they re-start here. Our local parkrun is quite a narrow, windy track with lots of blind corners so we always have a lead bike who rides ahead of the lead runners to warn everybody to stay left in what is usually a 17/18 minute time for the leader. (Iβm a lot closer to the half way mark than when I first started) when they finish π
It must be dark around the end of June at 8am for parkruns in New Zealand, especially the Invercargill parkrun which is the most southerly parkrun in the world, they should start a bit later especially at that time of the year, I hope you are keeping well and safe.
Congratulations to the New Zealand nurse who cared for the British Prime Minister when he was in hospital with Covid-19.
Yes thanks Alan, been keeping quite well, running 5 or 6ks 3 times a week and doing yoga and walking videos but do miss talking to others, but Iβm not complaining there are others a lot worse off and being able to get outside and exercise in a lockdown is a blessing. Glad youβre doing OK.
ππ½ππ½ππ½! Well done AlMorr! π Youβre VPR time is amazing too!! β€οΈ
I am getting slower, but I stopped worrying about pb's long ago. I just want to enjoy my run.
