Completed Week 4 Run 1

Every single week I've gone into it thinking, well there's no way I can possibly run for that long... And so far every week I have managed to complete it (at a snail's pace but still completed) I think I'm starting to believe in myself that I might actually be able to finish this program. I'm really enjoying myself.

This was good to read ! I feel exactly the same. I puffed along in week one thinking I would never ever manage any more than the 60 second run but now after running for 3 minutes I’m so proud and actually can’t believe I’m doing it !!

I feel nervous at every new week but somehow I seem to achieve it. Week 4 next week and I’m nervous but excited 😃

Hi, I’m at exactly the same stage as you. I did my W4R1 yesterday. It was quite tiring towards the end of the second 5min run, but I did it and, when I got home, I was buzzing with the sense of achievement. I have to admit to feeling really tired today, although no signs of any injury which is good. Looking forward to W4R2 tomorrow....I hope my body has recovered enough by then to do it justice 🙂. I agree that snails pace is the way to go, at least for the start of each week when the time spent running is increased. I’d rather finish slowly than not at all!

Well done! Yes I always feel such a sense of achievement after a run, and it does seem to be that slow and complete is better than faster and having to stop. Good luck!

Great to hear that you ate enjoying it - that sense of a hievement will see you through to week 9! I felt exactly the same as you and was amazed st the progress week on week! Now i am routinely running for 30 minutes and not a gritted tooth in sight 🤣🤣 Good luck. Keep running and keep posting your runs.
