Week 4 Run 1 Completed

I wasn't looking forward to this at all, what with the increased periods of running and shorter recovery periods, but I managed it!!

I could easily have chucked it about halfway through but battled on to the end.

This is the first week that I have ran for longer than I walked. Quite pleased with that!

well done you it is brill when you manage to do it. I completed week4 last week but didn't manage to get out to start week five, so tonight i went out and did week4 run 3 again, was worried in case i wouldn't be able to complete but hey i did it, so Weds i hope to do week5 run1. I love love this running malarkey, never thought i would say that, wish they had something like this when i was at school i am sure it would have kindled a flame in me when i was younger.!!!! It is the way it makes you feel mentally that i get the biggest kick out of and the self esteem it builds. Keep going and like me i am sure you will get there in the end!!!

Thanks for the support.

Don't know if I could say that I love the actual running yet, but I do love the feeling that I get afterwards. Just had my dinner and I'm sitting here in my chair watching some rubbish on TV and feeling quite proud of my sore legs!

Just done the same run. The five minute was a killer. I couldn't wait for it to be over with the bad weather and all.

Well done for completing it

Well done. My W4 R1 today was a big step up. The second 5 min run was really difficult.

I'm still slogging away on the treadmill. One of these days I'll run outside and suffer the bad weather, but for now I like the fact I can pace myself on the treadmill.

I did it last night as well and it felt great, being able to push yourself through and get it done! It was harder, definitely, then the 3 minute runs but it was actually a bit easier than I thought - although, I have really slowed down my jobs so I can really pace myself. I'm loving the sense of pride and achievement - I think that's what makes this program so great. You always feel like you're achieving something!

I have just completed run 1 of week 4, was worried about it, but really enjoyed it. The programme is so good the way it builds up your stamina. Hope you enjoy it too!
