Well I’m new to this and like many others I’ve never really run but used to do aerobics years ago. I’m 64 and determined to try. My first run was so hard but I did all 60 sec runs - my legs felt so heavy at the end. My legs ached yesterday but I’m not at all surprised - they’re probably in complete shock. It’s run 2 today - need to go before it gets too warm. Wish me luck I’m a bit apprehensive as to how I’ll get on 😥🙄

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.

Well done for getting the first run in the bag! Keep going - you will be amazed at the progress week by week if you stick with the plan. Just keep it really slow.
Age is just a number btw - there are lots of over 60s on here - including me. Good luck!

Well done for getting started. Go slowly & gently & be well hydrated on all days, not just run days. Enjoy your journey. Xxx
