Week 5 Run 3

Was anyone else terrified before completing the 20 minute run on week 5 run 3?

I had a bad run yesterday (run 1) and it’s made it seem even more daunting! Just don’t believe I can do it as it seems such a big jump.

Would love to know how everyone else found it.

Thanks in advance!

Have a search of this forum for W5R3 posts - there's LOTS!

You say a big jump. A big jump from what?

I dreaded every new week , yet I ran every run once and completed the c25k in the 9 weeks , so I would say , dont overthink it & don’t talk yourself out of it . Just get dressed , and go out as normal and listen to your instruction- see what happens . If it does happen you ll want to tell us all and if it doesn’t , it’s just an extra practice run and that’s good too . Don’t pressure yourself .

Good luck and give it a go 👍

Yes, I did not think it was possible. So I told myself to do just do 10 minutes and that would be an achievement, then it was 12 minutes and I carried on going and then I'd done 20 minutes! I couldn't believe it. Just give it a try, if you do more than 8 then you've done more then before but I think you will surprise yourself. I'm just one run ahead of you at the moment....

It’s 100% mental. You can do it. I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to do it. Mine was back in Feb and I was worried it would snow. I had a terrible sleep, and I cried when I did it. Your body can do it, take your time and trust the program. I ran 6k today, when I started in Jan I would never have believed I could do that. Believe in yourself, you can do it x

Thank you!! I actually found it was one of the easiest ones I’ve done! No idea how but I was just able to keep on going!
