Hi All, finished W2R2 last night with my trusty PT (son aged 10), kept to my style of only running as fast as I can whilst talking which is still pretty slow but I still get such a buzz when I finish. I am doing the dynamic stretches before each run (during my 5 min warm up) and static stretches after each run, and the strengthening exercises in-between. As I am working in risky areas each day now (moved from office based NHS job to portering), my stress levels are rising but this is my go-to place to shake off my concerns and keep going.

Well done, Poca! And sorry I missed this post when you first put it up. You must be on week 4 now? How is it going? Sounds like you are doing all the right things in terms of warm-ups and post run stretching, and taking it slow on the run sections of the programme – good work. I am so glad to hear that you have your running to help with the stress your new work is causing. It really does help with anxiety and mental health, so do keep up the good work. And thank you for all the work you do for our beloved NHS. x
Thank you, yes this is helping sooo much. Just did W4 R2 last night, it was probably my hardest run to date but I was aware of upping my pace a bit too much so paid the price for the last 5 min run (totally out of breathe) but still finished on a high with a little 20 second sprint yay.
