Have just done week 2 run 2 and feel completely worn out. I didn’t want to go out as I would of liked to do it earlier, because living in a small village and knowing many people here, I didn’t want to run in to anyone I know as I am only just starting out and being on the bigger side I am embarrassed, but now I have done it I feel better.

I was exactly the same. But once done - ok to be seen doing it again. Good stuff.
People will respect you for doing it and getting out there 👍🏼
Lots of people feel self conscious and village life adores nothing more than the sight of someone doing something surprising! The non runners will be admiring, wishing that they too were doing something positive for their health. The runners will feel supportive and pleased to see another member of the club. Some one on here made a good point- when you seen; red and sweaty faced, jogging at a snails pace, they don't know that you have only run 2 minutes, you might have just finished 10k!
So shoulders back and head held high. Nothing to be ashamed of- just get out there and run!
Many folk have felt just like you... I promise you, that will pass!
Welcome and well done for starting this.. check out the post here...

There is a lot of very useful, tried and tested information... key point, steady and slow.... listen to your body and take the rest days.
Warm up well.. try strength and flex alongside the programme too... and non-impact exercise on rest days too.
Take it as slow as you like, and have confidence in yourself that you are ding something amazing... You will be out there before long, in the funkiest gear imaginable
"Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
I felt exactly the same and took weeks to pluck up the courage to start the program, choosing the most secluded area I could imagine to do week one.
For the first three or four weeks I ran with my head down and just concentrated on a spot about six foot in fro of my feet, then something changed!
Now I’ve just completed week nine and make every effort to acknowledge anybody I pass during my runs, with a smile and an upbeat “Morning!”
I suppose what I’m trying to say is, we’re all nervous and conscious to start if we were confident runners we wouldn’t be using this program in the first place?
Trust the program, believe in yourself and f**k anybody else, just get out there and enjoy your journey!!!
