Well not going to lie when my alarm went off this morning I really didn’t want to get up. I was fighting with myself (usually what I do) this is only w1r2 🤭!!! I got up and done it and I’m so glad I did. It was tough but better and didn’t think it was going to be. I found I managed the runs better. I think I gave it too much welly on the first day as I was excited and burned out nearly straight away. I need to make changes to my diet as I’m not fuelling myself properly. It’s all a learning curve. Roll on Saturday. 💪

Week 1 Run 2 🥵
I honestly feel like run 2 was the hardest one i have done mentally, having felt so unfit after run 1. It was a real struggle not to give in and to motivate myself to stick to the plan - you are smashing it, good on you Poppie, getting a routine in order is especially difficult right now during lock down so you couldn't be doing any better xx
It was so tough getting myself out of bed and was still tough when I was outside setting up the app but once I started moving I just gave myself a talking to as I give up on everything I start. Not this time. I took it easy with my runs (slight jog 🤣) and said this isn’t a race it’s a change in lifestyle. I am thinking as my fitness level is non existent I am going to maybe do week 1 for 2 weeks. It’s just about keeping moving. Thanks for your kind words this community helps a lot ❤️
"this isn’t a race it’s a change in lifestyle" - That's the best way to think about it Poppie its definitely what pushed me. You've hit the nail on the head there. Definitely don't worry about it if you have to repeat a week or repeat individual runs - I've had a few set backs and the journey is so rewarding, don't worry about timeframe too much, just keep moving like you said great advice.
Well done to you! I feel the same most times and I’ve just started week2. Keep going 👍🏻👊🏻
Well done for getting out there again! Just keep it really slow and you'll get there. If you complete a run then go onto the next one. If I were you I would keep moving forwards and if you can't manage a run then repeat it rather than repeating a week until it feels easy. But if this is what you need to do to build confidence then that's OK too. I found that i gained in confidence with each new week.
Good luck and keep posting!
Keep it up bud...I'm a early riser but wont run until daylight so I can see where I'm going...if its tough it means its working that's what I tell myself.
