Hi, my daughter and I have decided to tackle this programme as our daily exercise whilst in lockdown - I've never run before and week 1 has gone really well! We've really enjoyed doing it together! Apprehensive for week 2 but determined! Using this strange situation we are in to positive effect.

Well done both of you. Just keep your running pace nice and slow and you will be fine. I did this at 66 so it must be a doddle 😊

Thanks for the encouragement, I am 56 and running with an 18 year old, so I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself - this may change as the weeks go on!! :-D

🤔There are little tricks....when my youngest joined me on a run I took him over a hill route that I was used to...levelled it out a bit!! There is no competition of course; your daughter will be proud of you 😊

I have just finished W1 too although I had to walk the last 60 seconds run though which I was disappointed with, don’t think the sunburn from yesterday being in the garden helped or lack of water maybe.

I certainly found it really warm today, we need to run much earlier in the day I think!

That’s what I was thinking. Maybe early morning I was thinking but I don’t like it when there are too many people about... so self conscious. I did go in the evening but it’s not very well lit up around where I live

Thank you

Well done for completing week 1, it's great that you have your daughter as a running partner, a great way to bond and stay motivated, trust the programme and you'll smash week 2, keep us posted,

Good luck 👍💪

Absolutely 👍

I’m running with my daughter too and we are both really enjoying it. Also just finished week 1 and feel great - neither of us have run before!

Well done to both of you 😊
