I really enjoyed that!!๐Ÿ˜€ I was wondering what the difference would feel like just upping the duration of the runs from 60 secs to 90 secs but, if Iโ€™m totally honest, I actually felt stronger than I did in the runs last week and, at one point, I had to tell myself to slow down just in case I overdid it!!๐Ÿ˜€

I donโ€™t want to come across as over confident, Iโ€™m not, I know there are many more tougher weeks and runs ahead, but the best advice (in my limited experience) I can give to anyone stepping up from week 1 to week 2 is to look forward to it, donโ€™t fear it, and you will hopefully enjoy it as much as I did!!

That said, itโ€™s now time for a nice radox bath and then Netflix๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ›€ ๐Ÿ“บ

Thanks Fen and enjoy your run 2 tomorrow. I know youโ€™ve completed this last year so thereโ€™s not much I can say that you donโ€™t already know! Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ll smash it again this time round and we can kick each other up the backside if we have any wobbles along the way!!๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™ve never been to a spin class but Iโ€™ve heard they are great workout and I nearly talked myself into a peloton bike before I took the less expensive option of the C25K app๐Ÿ˜€ My mountain bike is hanging up in the garage so, once Iโ€™ve hopefully completed the C25K, Iโ€™ll be looking at mixing up my runs with a bike ride or two as well. Enjoy your spin bike tomorrow Fen and keep enjoying your runs ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you Delly Dot, Iโ€™ve been feeling really positive since I started C25K and I am really enjoying the forum with nice people such as yourself.

This is a great place. Lots of great advice and encouragement here! Itโ€™s also a really positive place to be. Important at the moment. Keep up the good work. You are doing brilliantly. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Š

Perfect advice for anyone facing that first step up. Great job on the run... and also self coaching yourself to manage the pace... youโ€™ll go far. Nothing could be better than Netflix and smug โ€œI just did thatโ€ grin either!

Thank you unfitnomore, I read your bio and we have had surprisingly similar experiences. Both going from high levels of fitness in our younger years to injury induced midlife lethargy! You seem a lot more further on in your return to fitness but C25K seems to have been the best starting point for us both.๐Ÿ‘

Hopefully we both have a lot more โ€œI just did thatโ€ days to come ๐Ÿ‘

Yeah... I was a very arrogant guy coming back to running... after all I used to go sub 9 minutes for 3k, so how hard could it be? I dialled up a different app and it beat me into submission for a couple of weeks... then I found here, never looked back. Since then Iโ€™ve done my first Half Marathon, and just loving life... and no, Iโ€™m nowhere near 3 minute kilometres, they used to be such hard work, I now run smiling. Youโ€™ll achieve anything you want to through this... and yes, there will be many, many, moments where you can grab a drink, something nice to eat, put your feet up, turn on that TV and know that you earned it.

Run with a smile on your face, the best advice you could give. ๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™d still give a months wages to have one more game of football with my 18 year old legs and lungs though!๐Ÿ˜€

Iโ€™d love a chat with my teenage self... probably wouldnโ€™t listen though. The thing is, I was much faster back then, but I now have much more endurance... the teen me would kick my butt for 4K and then be keeled over while I jogged past... so maybe itโ€™s like moving from the wing to defensive midfield... not so much about pace, but stamina is real important.

Smiling helps breathing... so itโ€™s good to do.

I had a good engine back then but not the quickest. Ive gone from defensive midfield to wanting to go in goal for a bit!๐Ÿ˜€

๐Ÿคฃ. When I was little my cousin got picked up by United, sadly he didnโ€™t make it as his asthma got bad. I was good in goals... he struggled to score past me, the only issue was it took me 3/4 times of picking the ball out of the back of the net to get my eye in... and no team was ever good enough to carry that ๐Ÿคฃ
