Had my first step up from 60 secs to 90 - I found it hard but did manage it. My shins and thighs were complaining at the end but much better after a stretch. Also had a family meal at frankie and bennys tonight and managed to stay under 550kcal.
Trying to find some exercise to do tomorrow night.
Onwards and upwards.

Lol my legs are ok this morning and I'm also looking for something to do today so I'm not lazing around all day - but it doesnt look very nice weather today to be out & about
Brilliant! My calf always complains, but as you say, after stretching it's all good. Keep going - it's a fantastic feeling to keep achieving what you once thought impossible. I'm just coming up to week 9 and can't believe it!
It's a great programme. I have to say this is the second time I've been in this position, I got to week 8 earlier this year and then got the flu which meant I couldn't run for three weeks and my fitness took a hit so I started it all over again. Then I saw an advert that our local running club was doing a C25K course so I joined that and use my weekly run with them as one of my sessions. I absolutely hated it at first and I still find running with the club a form of torture, but I've met some great people and it's definitely pushed me to do more. We've all come such a long way in such a short time - from being barely able to run 60 seconds a few weeks ago to running 28 minutes in one go last night. You'll get there, no problem, just stick with the programme and don't go fast!
It is amazing how, even after decades of neglect and abuse (at leat in my case), our bodies adapt so readily to the extra demand we put on them. You will find yourself at week 9 before you know it, looking back to week 1 and laughing at the thought of running for 60seconds.
Well done Ade. Showing lots of discipline there! For other exercise you could go for a walk, swim, cycle, row. Try a bit of yoga or Pilates as they are good complements to running. I'm sure you'll find something.
Firstly, congrats on completing W1. W2 is a step up, but quite doable. Just keep focussed on enjoyment [did I say that in connection with running?] and pacing yourself. Don't try to go too fast.
Stretching is really important, and needs to be done within 30 mins (much sooner if possible) of finishing.
