Hi all. I’ve been really encouraged by all your posts in this very difficult season of our lives. I ran wk 8 run 2 tonight and struggled a bit towards the end...why?? Answer is easy - I was so hot! Normally here in NE Scotland it’s pretty chilly and usually blowing a gale too! I went out tonight in my usual winter garb and by halfway realised that actually it was 14 degrees!! Sweat pouring off me 🤣. But seriously my new found running has been so good for me in every way and if I as an overweight, very unfit granny age 60 can do it then anyone can! Keep running and keep safe!
Unusually Hot! : Hi all. I’ve been really... - Couch to 5K
Unusually Hot!
Good on you. Time to dig out the warmer weather gear eh?
Well done! We did the same thing this morning. Halfway through our run, I was trying to undo my running jacket and take off my gloves! 😆
How lovely to finally be peeling off the layers instead of piling them on! Well done on your run - week 8 nearly done!
Same with me yesterday!! The sun was so warm - it was lovely but I was sweltered!
It was like that this morning and this afternoon when I walked my dog on a deserted beach. We saw a seal cub come up the beach then turn round and head back to the sea to cool off. Even the birds were social distancing 😂😂🤯
Well done you!! One of the best tips I was given was that you add 10 degrees on to the temp when you are running, so you were running in 24 degrees, which would be a great summer day in NE Scotland (my home area too). I dress for running at temp+10 - still sweat but not overheat or dehydrate!! Hope this helps and keep going!!
Looks like time to shed some layers 😃Nearly at graduation week. Well done 👍
Wow I missed this post! You must be nearly finished now!!!! Go you!
