After an afternoon of heavy rain and watching tennis, we set off along our railway track. And for the first time we didn't turn half way! I've been using the OS app to plot some 5k routes, running to where the track ends from our starting bridge is 5.1k! We aimed tonight to run to 3.5k and then walk to the main road at the 4k point. Usually in 30 mins we get to 3.2 ish km. Snails!!

It was very humid and warm and legs were heavy by 2.5k!! My sister is faster than me, so I have to push a bit to keep up! We ended up running 3.7k in 33 mins. Pleased with that. So close to the 4k point but the 3k to 4k stretch is an incline and it got us!!

On Monday we are going to do the reverse route, first k will be slightly downhill!!

Thanks to Mr Ang33333 for being our support vehicle and sending tennis updates!

Have fun running this weekend, or enjoy the weekend off....! 😎😎😎😎🐌🐌🐌🐌

We may just get to 4k... but forecast is for a hot evening. My sister goes to work really early so morning runs aren't possible in the week and she insists on a lay in at the weekend!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Slow, and steady! We want to do a park run in September before my sister's 50th birthday and she is off to Cuba! So no rush. It's hard in the heat though! πŸ˜‚

Definitely having two days off! I tend to do that anyway but the temps this weekend are so high again. Tennis,, cricket and a bit of early morning gardening! πŸ˜€

That’s a good plan. I live in an area with NO hills at all...so a slight incline is a trauma for me!! We’ll done on the distance too. Snail’s pace is always best. And delighted you got tennis updates. Must check the restart time!! Happy Saturday. Xxx

Thank you! Hills everywhere here so the railway line is one place that's almost flat. But not as flat as I thought. You don't notice the inclines when you walk! πŸ˜€

That's a great track! I'll have to try it sometime :)

From where we start it's about 5k to where it crosses the main road in Ogbourne st George. Then it starts again from the bus stop on the main road and is about 5k to Chiseldon. Two possible 5k routes that you can run from either end!
