Unusually level headed

After my Tay road bridge run last week I tried canal running earlier today. Well, when I say canal I mean tow path and I have to say it's a nice change running on level ground. Aside from a couple of footbridges I was able to plod along enjoying the views without having to worry about tree roots and rabbit holes. I'm enjoying running on level ground while it lasts.

Yes it is a relief isn't it 😊 good views, a bit of company if your canal is anything like ours, and maybe a tea shop if you're lucky 🍰

Happy running!

Very friendly people round here but no tea shops on this particular route which is possibly a good thing

It's brilliant making the most of new locations even if it is temporary.

Haha they say the camera never lies but although you may think it's a picture postcard it hides the fact my phone was trembling and I was huffing and puffing quite seriously. I even managed some blurry shots of my legs as I struggled to get my phone back in the armband.

Flat running is perfect but I would have to move house which is a bit extreme.

It's wonderful but too hilly for me unless I can run along canals!. Really enjoying the family times now though. Never been to the Peak District before but the views are tremendous. That and catching up with the now grown up children is so special.
