Week six and had to stop 🙁

On week six run 2 and I’ve come to a stop because I’m feeling unwell! I have flu like symptoms so have had to stop running just now. Any advice how I can start again once I am better? Should I build up my progress again? Or will it be alright to start where I left off? It’s so frustrating as I was really enjoying my runs and progressing well. I just have no energy just now and struggle walking never mind running 🙁

As I understand it, your running condition deteriorates very little over a two-week period, so it should be fine to get better, then press on.

Go get tested for coronavirus Covid 19 immediately!

And make a list of anyone you’ve been in contact with for the past 5 to 14 days

And of course self Quarantine immediately! If you have a spouse, one of you sleeps on the couch. You can’t be within 6 feet of each other. You are responsible not only for each other but also for everyone in your spouses life such as everyone at spouse’s work can get what you have if it’s coronavirus.

See how you feel at the time, do you couple of test runs and then you will know better about what level you can begin at.

It sounds like you will have to isolate yourself now, take good care of yourself and if you get bored come and chat with us all on here.

As it states in the guide to the plan, you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running and after that you will just have to go out, when fully recovered, and find out what you can comfortably manage, then build up again from there.

Don't waste your time trying to get tested for Covid 19, if you are in the UK, it won't happen at this stage.

Rest up and keep well hydrated.

Take care CorRuns, it is frustrating when you’d been doing so well and enjoying it , but when you’re well again running will be there waiting for you by the door. In the meantime rest up and be well soon 🤗

I'm sorry you're feeling unwell. I'd be guided by how you feel. Try picking up where you left and if you can't do it, drop it down to a level you can do. I hope you feel better soon, take care .

Thank you everyone. I am self isolating and have been for 12 days now. My family also. I just feel so weak and no energy now and hope my energy returns when I get back to my running. I can’t wait till I’m recovered and finally get my trainers back on and get some fresh air again. Thanks for all the advise well wishes and support. Stay safe everyone and speak soon 😊
