Week six

Just completed week 5 and I can see there are no more walking breaks in the plan. It's all running from here on in.

I'm not going to lie this looks really tough but I don't want to stop or go backwards.

I'll be honest with you, I found W7R1 tough. But the 4 runs I've done since have felt great and I have felt on top of the world during these runs! Don't over analyse the next week, trust the program and yourself and just enjoy your progress!

Your right for wk6.3, wk7, 8, 9.No breaks👍👏👏

Think there is for wk 6.1 - 5, 8 , 5, running, with two 3 min breaks.👍

Wk 6.2 10, 10 running with one 3min break.👍

You have got this, you have done the wk 5.3 -20 mins.

You have done the work and it has prepared you for your next one.👍

No Fear only Enjoy it. Your are doing great.🌟👏👏

Sorry I just noticed it’s your first post. Please listen to advise from Mentor below👍👏👏

Welcome to the forum.

Have you read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which gives basic guidance about the plan.

If you want to learn to run for thirty minutes, there is no easier way than C25K.

Trust the plan.

Believe in yourself.

I feel the same. In the early weeks i wondered if i would ever get my pace right and the walk breaks were welcomed. Now i feel my pace is good and constant and although the dreaded week 5 run 3 came and i did i kinda felt like i should be running not jogging. I am finding i am fearing the weeks now as the running is increasing and im.not sure if its because i think im too slow and if i try to go faster i wouldnt be able to complete the runs. Mixed bag of emotions 😞

It doesn't matter how fast or slow you are going, you are doing this for You no one else , so what ever pace you are comfortable with that's the pace you go ,

Stop worrying your doing great 😊👍🏻

I used to be fearful of the earlier weeks, couldn’t imagine running 3 minutes. Last night did W9 R2 i am so proud of myself and don’t worry about the runs anymore just looking forwards to reaching the 5K milestone, not quite there yet. Have faith!

Well done on reaching the end of week 5. That last run is quite a milestone, isn’t it. 👏😄

The first two runs of week 6 will take you back to interval running, and I actually found that *harder* than running non-stop! It seems that our bodies take around 5-10 mins to adapt to the increased energy demands of running, and after that we settle into a nice easy rhythm.

So, don’t lose heart or get worried. You WILL be able to do the longer runs, and you WILL enjoy them 😄

I found week 6 more of a challenge mentally , I was definitely capable of the run , positive thinking week 6 and beyond and you have cracked it 😊

Don't build it up to be bigger than it is. Just do one run at a time. Have faith in yourself and if that's hard, have faith in the programme👍

You'll be running rings round those fields before you know it 😁

I actually found 6.1 the most difficult run of the program--it was hard to go back to walking breaks after I'd done 20 minutes in a row. It felt like I was losing my momentum!

If you've done 5.3, you've got the rest of this! Trust your body. You can do it.

you can do it... I freaked a bit when I saw what was in store at the end of week 5, but before you know it you will be through it and beyond! don't psych yourself out just follow the plan!
