Tough on the pavement

After completing wk5 on my weekend away by the mountains and running on grass, I found running on the pavement tough this morning - legs aching again ☹️ Also the ‘intervals’ in this run were difficult and messed up my rhythm - I felt the same last time I did the program but thought it might be different this time 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, looking forward to Friday when I can run in the park! 😊

Well done despite it not being your preferred surface!

The intervals are when you gasp for breath...perhaps that's just me then. 😏

Pleased you are getting back into the running...keep happy and take care. 👍

Well done for completing it today, even though it was tough! 👏

Hi. My usual running routes take me on a combination of surfaces, from pavement to track and then woodland trail. They are all undulating too, so when I came to run a flat coastal path this week it was really different! No gradients, no muddy puddles and slippery surfaces but lots of wind! It made quite a difference to how I ran but it has made me really want to mix up my routes a bit more. Enjoy your run in the park.

Well done! Make sure you have good cushioning in your shoes.

Trails & grass have slightly more give.. but of course muddier and slippy at this time of year.. trail shoe's strongly recommended for that..
