Hats off to all of you who ran in the heat this week and those who carry bottles of water. I went out for post grad run at 9.30 this evening thinking it was cool enough only to find it hot and muggy as soon as I started running. My own micro climate I travelled with. Took a Bottle of water with me for the first time. Couldn't believe how hard it was to run and drink and it felt like a lead weight. I did my first run without Laura or any music and found it hard to go slow enough at first without the music and wise words. Felt good though just to be running for fun , running because I can. Happy weekend running! ☺

And happy w/e running to you too (if you go out on Sunday. Or do you get to run everyday now that you're a shiny graduate?)

Drink when walking, my wife uses a doughnut ring water bottle and has no problems, you can get water bottle hydration belts, which I have and I don't know I'm wearing it...

Really? I felt every gram of my phone and water tonight 😕 ran with my hand through doughnut bottle so it sat on my wrist!

I can't drink and run at the same time, I have to stop to take a swig! But I have started carrying a wet flannel which I wrap around my neck when it gets too hot. Weird, but true!

Haha😁 I have picture of people running with entire utility belts filled with water, wet flannels and other equipment, bit like soldiers! I am sure it is all rather a good idea but I would need to begin programme again carrying equipment! I think I am destined to be a 'naked' runner. However... watch this space. Once I thought I couldn't run at all.☺

Firstly well done dddd on graduating, I did week 9 run 1 this morning, it was hit and sticky but I did it!

I've carried a water bottle since week one, couldn't be without sipping it to keep everything going, I have one with the hole in the middle - possibly a doughnut one as Dave mentioned, find small sips help to stop my mouth drying out.

Good luck with your running 😎👟👟

You are so close to graduating now Radleychick. Keep going, you can see the finishing tape now. What is on the other side?

Good for you. Personally, have found running with a belt doesn't feel like it is adding weight compared to holding bottle, phone etc in my hand, so may be worth a try!
