repeating runs ?

I am presently on week 4 run 3, and repeated it four times, mainly due to trying to feel comfortable enough with it before moving on. I have previously completed all 9 weeks, and done so four or five times successfully. My problem seems to be not feeling able to progress adequately at the end of it. couch to 5 k seems like a comfort zone, and its feels preferable to keep doing something rather than nothing at all.

Hi glad you said this I am struggling with week 3 didn’t quite make run 2 today , have been a bit off over the weekend so I think that might have been the problem, just couldn’t make the first 3 minutes, seemed to take forever, had been running up hill on the 90 second run and hadn’t recovered enough, felt t exhausted, I managed run 2 so was very disappointed, but glad to know we can repeat a week, think that’s what I’ll need to do .

its fine to have another go, especially if you have been feeling under the weather.

I am just curious if others have also decided to re do certain runs several times before progressing.

I don’t re-do the runs unless I don’t complete them. If I waited till I felt ‘happy’ with it, I’d still be in week one. I bash onto the next one and somehow you just keep the legs pounding (or in my case shuffling) for the right amount of minutes!

No, if I completed a run, I moved on to the next. You need a new focus after graduating maybe? A race, bridge to 10k, join a club or definitely do parkrun?

Hello trapeze, you are right it is preferable to keep doing something than nothing at all. As you have completed the program several times, when you get to wk9 again would you be interested in getting to 10k . 😊😊

This is a link to what's involved and you can do it in time eventually getting to 60 minutes of running or distance , 10k
