Well here I am, on holiday dressed in all black running gear and having just finished a run down to and along the beach. I've been using the last run on c25k and repeating the times. It's been very helpful havibg the familiar voice telling me i'm half way there etc. The route was amazing and the freedom to just run where ever was great. As the sun rose up in the sky i started to think that black wasn'tthe wisest choice. Running along the beach was fab, just at the shoreline so the waves stopped just by my feet. (The heavy sand was a bit trickier with not much grip) I can now confirm that the confused look of non runners at that time of the morning is international. There were several fellow peeps out and we exchanged the nod and smile which again seems to be international. The strangest thing is that i am actually running for ru nings sake now. I have been here for 5 days and jave been out on 3 x 5k+ runs. (That is so crazy) It was only 10 weeks ago that I signed onto this web site and made the decision to make some changes.
If you had told me then where my head would be now i wouldn't have believed it. But sure enough here I am. Anyway its probably time for me to get in the pool and chill out a bit.
I saw an interesting path i will explore tomorrow, (not wearing the black gear though!)
Keep running and smiling.

Thanks, I'm def taking the rest days don't worry! I'm fortunate to have a pool here so the swimming is taking care of itself. I went sightseeing yesterday and covered 18km on foot. Don't think i've ever been as active on a holiday, well not for a long time anywho! Now..where is that sun cream?
There is something invigorating about watching the sun rise across a beach and ocean.
Man in Black running on a beach, any aliens nearby? Tommy Lee Jones in the distance? The beach looks glorious and a heck of an incentive to run, but you don't need that now do you, you are running because you love it.
This is such an inspiring post...there's loads of us on here that doubt whether we will actually be able to but you are living proof that we can...anyone can, it just takes determination & self belief...
What a beautiful picture, I long to run along there!!!
I'n just an average joe that made some decisions and stuck to them. It realky is that easy. Follow the programme and it will all fall into place. Don't quit.
Looks and sounds wonderful. I have got a holiday coming up at the end of October and have already been looking at google maps for runs along the beach and harbour. This was unthinkable 4 weeks ago. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Well deserved and well done. Inspiring.
It's unbelievable isn't it , never thought my trainers would be coming on holiday with me but they did and I have completed Week 8 whilst here, I went at 630 as I dislike running in the heat , a lot of people must think the same I passed quite a few joggers - I ran on the promenade along the sea , I loved the different scenery a much more enjoyable run , 😁
