Well looks like the running is done for a while

So I’m stuck in A&E after an exciting ride in an ambulance. Not injury. Not asthma. But cannot get my breath for love nor money. After several hours thought 111 might be the wise decision and well, here I am back in the Royal. Hoping not all night. And hoping nothing that can’t be mended easily.

I remember when I had blood clots in my lungs and I had dragged myself into a and e on the bus as I decided it would be quicker to take myself there than wait for the ambulance and I had called the ambulance back and told them not to come as I was going to a and e myself!

I had a CT scan and x rays and blood tests and was terrified! I ended up staying overnight on a respiratory ward and there was a lady with lung cancer there and one my age who was rushed in by ambulance with what I had as she had collapsed and I ended up going home after dinner the following day.

Horrible experience!

Funnily enough they’ve told me that’s what they think I may have. So I’m now sat waiting for a dr and my blood results and could be here for another3 hours at least. So that’s fun.

Thqnk you Jalapenolover. Typically my breathing has returned to normal although now my oxygen levels have dropped slightly. They are concerned I may have a blood clot so that’s fun still waiting for blood results and to see a dr. Around about her 3 hours for that though I’m told. Long night ahead.

Thank you, yes you are right. Not worth the risk. No blood clot thank goodness but they said I had a silent asthma attack which is not a thrilling thought either. Especially considering it went on for several hours and I had no idea it was my asthma. Anyway finally home at around 4.30am. Still struggling to sleep though.

Thank you. The hospital said they believe I’ve had what is called a a silent asthma attack. Scary because I wouldn’t have linked it with my asthma as it didn’t have any of the normal symptoms for me at all.

Anyway. At least there’s no blood clot which is a huge relief. Thank you again for your kind words
