Same here! Well done to you. i sincerely hope it helps with weight loss...but i know i have to fix other things also such as my diet and overall activity levels. Either way, this can only help rather than harm us in achieving our weightloss gaols.

Congratulations on starting C25K! It’s the best program for getting you started with running. Keep posting here for help, advice and encouragement and we’ll keep cheering you along every step of the way 👍🏼 You’ve got this!

I am diabetic, so not changing what I eat for now, but yes i have lost 2.5lb over the first four weeks, would expect that to increase as the running times get longer.

Good luck with your adventure into to running, i am loving it!

Well done and welcome aboard! I lost weight before I started c25k. The theory goes that weight loss is 80% diet, 20% exercise and I'm convinced it's true that you can't outrun a poor diet.

Having said that, running has only been good for me. I know that if I can run 5k, anything else I set my mind to is possible! The endorphin rush at the end of a run also helps keep me positive. I no longer yoyo diet, running has put a stop to that. I've lost my appetite for junk food and I know that if I put weight on, it will slow me down and be bad for my knees. One of the biggest benefits is the change in my shape. I now have muscles in places I'd forgotten muscles were supposed to exist, my waist has shrunk and I have a pair of half decent legs (even if I do say so myself 🤭).

Good luck and keep posting. I hope you achieve your goals. 👍
