Just done run 1, week 1

β€’10 Replies

Got up and left family sleeping and did my first ever run before 6am!!

Now at work and have a real zing in my step.

Was apprehensive before, wanted to stop at 5th one minute run.

Glad I stuck with it.

Looking back it was great. Plus I cannot believe I walked and jogged 1.9 miles all before 6am.

Amazing.

Just hope I can see all this through.

Looking forward to 2nd run on Friday morning.

Well done all. Happy days.

I was the same last week! Felt great after I did it....awful for the first couple of runs.

Yesterday I did day 1 of week 2 and thought I'd never step up to 90 seconds as I still felt the 60 was a struggle. Amazing how I did it actually and each run got easier.

I find concentrating on breathing helps me....and also thinking of anything other than waiting for that little voice telling you it's time to slow down again haha! Keep going!😊

Thank you Stellie! The voice was actually quite encouraging! I was very surprised by my achievement today.

Hope we can all keep it up.

Mrmeaker I also find the voice really helpful. But I did find myself begging it to tell me to walk πŸ˜‚. I have mine set on Jo Whiley on the app I'm using. I did get a little cross on the last run when she said ' right this is your last run so really put your heart and legs into it '!......I was knackered at this point and actually swore out loud at her πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Just as well nobody was around lol.

Nice one mate! Completed my first run yesterday, used to run about 12 miles weekly but haven't gotten out there in a few years so found this was a perfect way to get back into it. Good luck with the rest of your journey!
