I have the reddest face known to man but I am pleased I have started. ๐น
Just had a stark realisation about how unfit I am. Which is motivating me to keep going.
Trying to be mindful of surrounding as opposed to how long is left too.

That first run (and the red face) is one of the hardest of the programme... and you've done it. Honestly, I can't tell you how amazed you will be week on week as you progress. Keep posting and take it nice and slow. Good luck with run 2๐
Hey you..nice to see you xxx
Hi Floss๐๐๐MiL went home for a week yesterday so I shall be running up a storm for the next few days๐
Starting is half the battle won. And the red face, yeah it's part of the journey.
Hi and well done
As misswobble says, slow and steady is the way...
The great motivation that you have, will keep you going.. you want to do this, and if you follow the programme, take your rest days and listen to your body,( which may, at the start be really telling you off ), then you will be just fine.
So...off you go and
....keep posting your runs too... we know you are here now and will be watching for you
PS
Bright red is a great colour.. as is, bright pink, beetroot or puce, we have all shades on here
Slow...and slower still will get you there, just like it did for the vast majority of us Read through the posts - full of advice and tips based on 'real world' experience
It's a great journey you have just begun - and around here while we may run on our own, we never run alone Let us know your progress and share your experiences too
I know al about that red face !
I too just started this week and completed R2 last night after working a busy 12hour day ๐
I actually enjoyed it and found it easier than my first day . Never thought I would say that !
Good luck ๐
I also felt like that on run 1 wk 1. I have struggled every week now to wk 6 r 1. Each week feels like that 1st one, but when you do your 1st 20 min run, you've achieved something. It's mind over matter to try to keep going. Good on ya to get started in the first place.
Good work! It took me a week to build up to W1R1, so it's all to play for. I'm just at the end of W3, and can't believe how far I've come and how quickly.
